A Universalist Meditation & Prayer
God didn’t create earth, in addition to heaven, because human nature wouldn’t have otherwise been free. Humanity, as per divine logoi, would already have been sufficiently, abundantly & co-creatively free!
Creation, rather, is ordered toward a fitting, i.e. dignum et justum est, divine expansion of the divine theophanic breadth, i.e. ad maiorem Dei gloriam.
It is truly right and just, always and everywhere, i.e. on earth as it is in heaven, to give You thanks, Lord, holy Father, almighty & eternal God.
As your beloveds, we are made to freely reciprocate & spread Your Love. We are made for You, O’ Lord, to theophanically manifest Your Glory. Thus our hearts are restless, seeking rest in Thee, alone.
In heaven, free from all ignorance, peccability & ill well being, we are free to manifest Your Love for Your Greater Glory. It is truly fitting & just.
On earth, even though not free from ignorance, peccability & ill well being, we are free to manifest Your Love for Your Greater Glory. It is truly fitting & just.
Even all You’d permit, Lord
But would never intend
Could ever thwart Your purpose
Or our end
For neither the death nor life of me
Neither power, angel nor principality
Neither things present now nor yet to be
Could stall, much less vanquish
All You’ve meant to be
So, take, O’ Lord, my liberty
My understanding, my every memory
For Your love, O’ Lord, is enough for me
For Your Grace gifts every efficacy
So, my eyes are on You & it is well with me
Just as I am without one plea
With neither defense nor theodicy
I’ll just love You, Lord
For I trust in Thee
That all may, all can & all will be well
For the earth, O’ Lord, & all who there dwell
Because You’re with us, now
And here Your mercies tell
That, before You rose, You harrowed hell!
