Rational Creatures are Constitutively Indwelled
I do believe in a pure nature, where creatures are merely divinely omnipresenced. I just don’t believe that rational creatures are ever merely omnipresenced. Rather, they are, always, also constitutively indwelled.
Each increase in one’s awareness (closing of epistemic distancing) of this indwelling will grow the degree of divine intimacy one will experience & scope of glory one will express.
Generally, each personally (intentionally) co-self-determines (via one’s autonomous soul-crafting) both HOW & HOW MUCH divine intimacy one will realize & divine glory one will manifest.
THAT we’re unalienably indwelled has been divinely determined, essentially.
Exceptionally, some are predestined to higher degrees of intimacy & glory by divine predilection & for the sake of all.
Undeniably, this soul-crafting process can be parasitized by vicious habits, which, when sufficiently free, merit the consequences of sin & obscure (but never obliterate) the divine image, eventually requiring a merciful restoration by purgative graces. This possibility (probability) has been divinely permitted for the greater good of maximizing the overall degree of creaturely divine intimacy enjoyed, enriching the overall degree of creaturely freedom realized, magnifying the greater glory of God and, so, broadening the divine aesthetic scope.
By definition, no finite creature, when fully rational & completely free, could reject the divine presence. A defintive rejection of God, then, is never a free will counterfactual because, in the first place, it’s not even a possible world counterfactual.
Eschatologically, while each will be uniquely situated and varying in degrees of intimacy enjoyed & beatitude expressed, all will be fully satisfied, none stung by an everlasting remorse.
