The Norms of Mysterian Appeals: Phantasms Resignified (universalism) or Reinforced (perditionism)?
Some of our mysterian appeals might implicitly posit phantasmagorical dynamics, including transformative resignifications of our temporal modes – past, present & future?
Such resignifications wouldn’t just change the meanings of our pasts per epistemic illuminations, such as via healing us affectively.
Those semiotic dynamics would also effectively change who we’re becoming in our futures, where we’ll have been transformed from images to likenesses, such as via intellectual, moral, social & religious conversions, where we’ll everlastingly be becoming ever more “in-love.”
The above-dynamics should normatively inform all mysterian appeals & so define the greater goods of any putative resignifications in terms of a unitive superabundance.
Such are the norms of universalist mysterian appeals. Phantasms are resignified.
Perditionist mysterian appeals suggest that – what no eye has seen, ear heard, heart of wo/man conceived or phantasm projected – such are the impoverishments God’s prepared to effect a greater good. Phantasms are reinforced.
