I was grasped most powerfully by your essential universalism, always myself believing that the so-called hopeful universalism of Balthasar and Barron was a theological and intellectual fig leaf. I was also connecting Balthasar's notion of Ur-kenosis as the heart of the trinitarian Mystery with much of what you said. Finally, DBH's resurrection of final causality as the key to an eschatological imagination and anagogical approach to Revelation and Tradition seems also to inform some of what you are doing. I bless God for your brilliance and especially the insatiable passion for what you are up to. No better way of showing, not just telling, what your writing is really all about.
We are soulmates. You have expressed eloquently & accessibly in _Deified Vision_ and in _Life in the Trinity _ some of the very same ideas that I struggle to convey here. Thanks for your kind words. What you have stumbled across is more so my prayer journal, the fruits of my contemplative prayer & certain ascetic practices. My prose is dense & idiosyncratic because I'm an autodidact without academic background in theology or philosophy; I rely heavily on strict formulations & rigorous nuances because I don't have a firm enough grasp to render it pedagogically to the many. That's YOUR gift and I'll thankfully point others to you should they ever inquire about my meaning. As a general rule, though, no one ever does. lol
I enfold your mission in my prayer. I intuit it all but rely on mystics like you and DBH to help me clarify both my intuitions and my mission of promoting a trinitarian vision of deification and contemplative prayer. I'm so happy to hear you practice the latter. It is our ultimate entry point into the heart of the Mystery. Thank you for responding. I'm confident your writing will enrich many you will never hear from.
